Moldova Mission Trip 2011 #3...

Diane and Translator Alex preparing a group of boys for a drama.
 We've had perfect weather today!

The day has gone well and debriefing after supper this evening included expressions of satisfaction with the schedule, the activities and especially the joy of being with the people in our groups today.  It was a good Monday - minor equipment struggles and good participation in all that happened.

We start and end our day with about a 40-45 minute large group session in the Gazebo.  There's singing, dramas, a projected story and memory verse sharing plus whatever else we think of.
Radu serves as helper and capable actor.  He's an orphanage graduate and a fine young man.

Enraptured audience during Gazebo Time

Beautiful Viorica with the craft for the day in her hair.

Actors depicting Samuel selecting David as King.

Oldest son is not the chosen one though he's strong and handsome!

Parachute from Richmond, VA provides afternoon fun.
We are still eagerly preparing for our day tomorrow but pretty weary this evening.  But it's a good "weary".

Forty new children arrived at camp today.  They will join our groups tomorrow and we're praying that this opportunity to share with new children will provide moments in which Christ is winsomely made known.  But we realize this may present an interesting challenge!  Bring it on!!!

The two delayed boxes arrived today so we are thanking God for that answer to prayer.  Your prayers are important and very appreciated.  Our team member who lives in Moldova was unable to be with us today due to illness.  Pray for Nancy who hopes to join us tomorrow.

Dear Team,

It was so encouraging to hear how God has launched your opening day. How delighted He is to reflect His love through you to these precious children. And He's entrusting 40 more children to you tomorrow!
He would not send them to you without equipping you. Trust in His power. We can exchange our insufficiency for His sufficiency.

"The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the
earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and His understanding no one
can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the
weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like
eagles;
they will run and not grow
weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
(Isaiah 40:28-31)

God promises to strengthen us when we are fully committed to Him.

"For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen
those whose hearts are fully committed to Him."
(2 Chron.16:9)

Thank-you God for captivating the attention of these children today. Continue to stir within their hearts. May Your Holy Spirit bring conviction, which is really Your love pursuing them, and a receptiveness to Your invitation of receiving forgiveness & Eternal Life. May things go smoothly as this new group of children joins in tomorrow. We know it's not by accident that they're arriving tomorrow.
Thank-you for the arrival of the delayed boxes and for the full participation of Team members & children attending. Thank-you that equipment struggles were minor. We praise You for everything that functioned well.....many things that were just taken for granted.

Lift Nancy up physically, so she can join with the Team.

Continue to put a hedge of protection around this week of evangelism. We desire You to be lifted up & glorified.
In Your name we pray,
Amen
