Amiens, France...

The flu bug hit my little guy quite viciously last evening with several bouts of uncomfortable vomiting.  His Mama and I cuddled and cleaned as he was in the throes of the bout.  By 10:30 pm, he seemed to be settling into calm and recovery.  We decided to try half the usual bedtime milk allotment and he went to sleep.  He slept until 2:20 am and we gave him about the same amount of milk again.  He devoured that and wanted more.  We gave him more and he settled back into peaceful sleep until 9am.  He still has a very runny nose and isn't too interested in other food but he is much improved and the rest of us got some good sleep also.

We are in a hotel on the edge of town so nothing too interesting for exploring in the immediate area but we found a grocery store and restocked diapers, wipes and a few other necessities after breakfast.  Cozzie is napping now and I'm on my computer.  It's almost time for MBD to load in at the venue for tonight's concert.

We had a lovely day yesterday as it was a day off with no concert scheduled last night.  We drove to the town for tonight's concert and will be in the same hotel for 2 nights.

Our drive took us through Paris and we stopped to see the Eiffel Tower and give Cozzie some play time.

In the morning, he and I were able to spend about 90 minutes exploring Vendome while the others slept in then loaded the van.  I have lots of photos to share from our day yesterday.

A new toy from the French tour manager...

Flower beds in the traffic circle...  I could get used to this...
Found a beautiful walk along the Loir River in Vendome, France

Out of the stroller....  Yeah!!!!!

Such a lovely groomed park....

Not many others enjoying it with us...

Along came a couple who took our picture...

And another...

I can't get enough of lovely flower beds...

Like I said...

So lovely to find floral beauty free of weeds and litter...  And with a little help there's less litter now.

I think we had strolled into a Veteran's Memorial Park.

Blue is so lovely....

Came to this Cathedral from the back this time...

Walked inside and enjoyed the classic elegance as the organ played for a few walking through...

Lovely front doors...

and above the doors more beauty...

A place to worship without worshipers...

In a country whose shops are almost all closed on Sundays because of past Christian influence...

From Vendome through Paris and time to play in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower...

World travelor...

Lots of people enjoying a beautiful spring day...

We're all fighting some cold and flu bugs...

Soaring fountain jets of water on the approach to the Eiffel Tower...

Springtime in Paris...

Looking up from below....

Crepes with chocolate and ice cream...

Adding the chocolate...  Been there; Done that!!!

A Carrousel ride for a little boy and his Mama...
We would follow up this lovely day with some sickness but we're getting back on track today.

We drove through miles and miles of beautiful farmland yesterday.  Looked like winter wheat will again supply this country with what they need for the delicious baguettes and croissants we enjoy each morning.  Tough assignment I have!!

Nap is over and time to go to the venue to load in.  We'll tag along and enjoy the day with whatever unfolds.  Feeling very blessed as my time continues on this tour.
