Fourth Full Day of Camp...

Today went quite smoothly at camp.  The in and out of children around the 1st of August had slowed almost completely so the children were calmer and more attentive it seemed.  They have been learning their memory verses and eagerly popping up when we ask for those who have them memorized.  Small prizes promote this activity as we feel it's valuable for them to hide God's word in their hearts. I know you'd be touched to hear their joyful voices singing praise to the Lord.

We packed gift bags during our lunch break today.  We each have a few items including socks for those bags.  And there will be a Chick-fil-a shirt for everyone.  We have had over 100 children in attendance this week.  And we're a team of 10.

Photos of each group and our team photo were printed commercially in bulk so that each child's photo album has several pictures to treasure along with the memory verses they've learned.

Diane and her translator, Ana, are well loved by their little girls.

The week is flying by and tomorrow will conclude our time at camp.  We're all probably tired but we're persevering with smiles and joy.  We're blessed to be here and blessed to have many prayer warriors.  Thanks.

Today the story was Jacob - a man with a past of failures but whom God chose to use in spite of his faults.  No matter our mistakes, God has a plan for our lives which he has prepared for us and we will be able to carry out because of His redemption option.

Thanks for taking the time to share your day. I know the days must be VERY long & I'm sure it's tempting to just forego the blog & jump into bed. Your efforts in specifically sharing details of the day & many endearing pictures, is very much appreciated & enjoyed. It makes those of us on 'the home front' feel like we're more a part of 'The Team'.

This week seemed to have flown by, from this end anyway. I'm sure it has for the children as well. They take away many useful, as well as fun gifts that you have so generously showered on them. But the greatest gifts are the lasting memories hidden in their hearts & minds.

So grateful to hear of another 'God Powered' day. He is being glorified!

Love,
Marge
