1. Moldova Mission Trip 2015...

In two weeks, our bags will be packed, our preparation will end and our travel will begin.  Here is a message I sent to family and friends today.

Dear Folks,
In exactly 2 weeks from today, John and I will be leaving for Chisinau, Moldova for our 10th summer trip there as part of a Mission Team from our Kerrville, TX church in partnership with CERI, Children’s Emergency Relief, International.  There will be 7 members for this team.  We will arrive in Moldova on June 20th.  We will leave San Antonio early on June 19th.  Our flights will take us through Atlanta, Paris, Kiev and into Chisinau, Moldova.  Return on July 3rd will have the same routing.

John and a group of his boys from a past trip.
We will be doing much the same thing as we have done in the past but we’ll be doing it at a different place.  In the past we have worked at a summer camp which was the summer home for about 150 children from an orphanage.  But over the past few years, Moldova has been moving children from orphanages into homes with family members or into foster care.  The camp is now being used for children no longer part of CERI’s work in Moldova.
The girl we sponsor now.
CERI continues to be committed to working in Moldova with the poorest, neediest children and feels that those children are living in villages.  A community center has been identified which is being used to host some activities for children in an area called Criuleni – about 30 minutes outside of Chisinau, the capitol of Moldova.  Our team will stay in a Team House as we have done in the past and will go to Criuleni daily where we will conduct lessons and activities for children ages 7-15 from 10am – 3pm each day.  We plan to share Biblical truth and hope through the life of Joseph, son of Jacob, who was a trustworthy, godly man of faithfulness, integrity, purity and perhaps most importantly, a man who was able to forgive the wrongs of the past which were inflicted on him by jealous, hateful brothers.  What man had planned for evil, God planned for good.

Preparation for this trip is well underway but we would love to have you join us in prayer.  I will list some requests but ask you to lift our team to the Lord as you feel led.

The team members are:

1.       Deanna Caraway, Kerrville, TX
2.       Mark Clemons, Kerrville, TX
3.       Lesley Toops, Dallas, TX
4.       James Worden, Detroit, MI
5.       John C. Worden, Kerrville, TX
6.       Linda Worden, Kerrville, TX
7.       Sarah Worden, San Antonio, TX

Prayer Requests:
1.       Completion of preparation and packing before we leave.
2.       Safety and rest as we travel.
3.       Truthful, helpful, winsome sharing of God’s message through our words and actions.
4.       Health and strength for our God prepared opportunities.
5.       Team comradery.
6.       Favor with airlines so that checked bags will be accepted without a charge.
7.       Life changing response to things God shows our team and those we meet during this trip.
We are grateful for this opportunity and will try to update the blog each day as time, energy and wi-fi service allow.

With His Hope and Help,
Linda L. Worden

Dear Lee, (Linda)
Thank-you for sharing such a detailed account of your upcoming trip to Moldova. I can sense your excitement & anticipation in how God will use you all, as your departure day quickly approaches.

It is a privilege to 'share' in your trip, by praying for you and the team. You are entrusting me & fellow Christians to join you in supportive prayer, just as the apostle Paul did.

'Brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one
We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing well and will continue to do the things we command.
May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance. 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

I look forward to hearing from you, but I know that God knows your specific needs along the way, even though you may not have the time, energy or means to consistently update this blog site.

Resting confidently in our faithful Lord,
Marge
