Numbers & Temperatures Rise Substantially...

Team shirt day...  Stopped for a photo op on our way to Criuleni this morning.  Beautiful morning sunshine was the forewarning that a hot day was on its way.  Oh, well...  We took the heat in stride with the 79 children who came today along with the 25 others for a total of 104 people.  Bring it on.  We're handling the opportunity with buoyant and confident spirits because God is providing energy and just enough strength to stay engaged and joyful.

My Adam Raccoon puppet gets some lovin'...
Started with singing though not enough folders to go around...
Joyful...
Packed 'em in today...
More translator assist in drama as the Joseph story continues...
Most are engaged...

Following our large group opening, we head to small groups for a lesson and development of team with a smaller group to encourage and instruct...
This dear husband of mine, with early stage Parkinson's disease, had a class of boys ages 10-11 that nearly doubled in size today  to a gang of 26...  He, with the really helpful translator, Danial, took the assignment in stride and kept control for the whole session.  Look at those smiles.

Placinta and a drink, an orange and some cookies...  More than enough.
Deanna and Irinna enjoy a few minutes to sit down...
This young man had lots of ideas for photos...

another with me...
Now with Mr. John...
now alone and that was how I ended it.  We'd still be there if he'd had his way longer.  Such a handsome, sweet young man.
Afternoon activity...  Health and Hygiene...
Recreation...

And the day with kids ended with an ice cream treat for all!!!
Sarah and 2 of the team member's sponsored girls...
Now it's time to break into two groups for a visit with 2 very poor families.  We had purchased items for 2 bags of grocery staples yesterday for this opportunity.  The host missionary tells us about the families we'll visit.
Everywhere the sour cherries are in abundance...
Like I said...

Walking to a home...

garden plot...
Family's home...
Mom and 4 children...  Some of these children are coming to our Day Camp.
18 months and precious...
Grateful for our visit...
Holy moments...
Still no last bag but Delta claims it was on a Ukrainian International Airlines flight due to arrive in Chisinau today.  Haven't had a call yet but keep praying.  We still would like to have it get here.
Video taken during lunch hour...

Must get some sleep.  Wonder how many we''ll get to have tomorrow?  Trusting God.

Again....what great pictures. With all those children attending today, I don't know how you had time to take any.

Well....I didn't write much above, as I wasn't sure I could get my comment to post. Since it did, I'll continue.

104 degrees...Wow! I'm sure you would have welcomed some sort of water game. The pictures don't convey just how sweltering it had to have been. Thank goodness for the areas of shade. I'm sure adequate hydration was very necessary and am wondering what the drinking water tastes like there?

You've captured some great smiles of beautiful children. The sweet young man who loved the camera, certainly isn't shy. Are most of the children that eager to engage with you all?

Christ poured out much of His love through you today.....ending with such an act of love & kindness to this needy, sweet family. I wonder who feels more blessed tonight....this family or you?

Praying & praising,
Marge

Marge, The number of kids was 104 not the temperature! The temp was probably 80+ as it was today, Wed. also. Thanks for your great comment and all your prayers and encouragement.
Love, Lee
