Jesus Savior Church, Andy's Pizza, Games at Stephen Cel Mare Park, Doxie Deo...Day 3

Sunday has been wonderful so far.  I am getting an early start on my blog today as we are back at the team house for a couple hours before we go to evening church and then have dinner.

Again, I will share the story of our day primarily through the photos I will share and caption.
Ready for church after a great breakfast and devotional time...
THE whole team outside of Jesus Savior Baptist Church...

Second click of our team...
Third click...
Front row seats and joined by Lena and Parascovia...  Translator Elena just behind us...
Olga, Parascovia's sister will join us this week also...

Worship begins...
Dearing Garner brings a short message and greeting....
Sister and brother have looong portions of scripture memorized...
3 babies dedicated to the Lord - 2 of the families are part of the deaf ministry...

3 Pastors hold and pray for 3 babies...
Dearing has a "little" challenge...

"Let me have that thing.  I'm ready for your job!"

One of the girls we have sponsored - all grown up and on her own.
Off to this place after church for lunch.
Lunch...
Getting to know the girl we now sponsor...
and her younger sister.
All team members are paired with a CERI child for the week... This girl is waiting for a sponsor.

Exchange rate...
Heading to a park for outdoor get-acquainted activities...

Such a beautiful day at the city center and in this park.

Getting acquainted...

Games together...

"Can you guess what country we're from?  Keep your arms straight while you do the jig!"

"What country are we from? "

What country are we from?  We eat lots of pizza and pasta!"

And Mathias gets to play with Mommy in the park.

Pick a partner and do rock, paper, scissors...

Rock, paper, scissors!!!

Loving and praying for this girl we now sponsor and grateful for this time together.

Fun team member...

Jelissa & Masha

An artist among us...

Another girl needing a sponsor...

What country do we come from?

"This is an Irish jig!  What country do we come from?"

More girls needing sponsors and loving...

"Let me introduce my fiancee!"  Wedding in July for these excited, educated, godly Moldvan "kids."
After time as a team, translators, sponsored or needing sponsors kids, some of the kids returned to their shelters and the rest of us went to the team house to nap, blog, play or chat until time  to go to the evening service of Doxa Deo - a new and rapidly growing church in Chisinau.
Large, welcoming area with busy coffee shop.  Several of the pastoral team spotted us "Americans" and gave us a very warm welcome.
Talented, well-prepared worship team...
Joanna was VERY impressed and recorded bits of most all their songs.
After supper, Joanna and I spent some time unpacking the box of items we brought with us.  He is the son of the couple who cook, clean, do laundry and care for the house.  We told him he could select 2 cars and he looked through all 39 cars and carefully selected 2.

With the box emptied, it was ready for "repurposing".  With help from Aunt Sarah, Joanna is able to cut off one side of the box so that it can be put into the sleeve of felt to become a flannel board she'll need tomorrow.
"Ta Da!!!
" Ready for tomorrow's story."
So Sunday is wrapping up and I am finishing much earlier than I did last night.  Sleep is needed and now I'll be able to enjoy a nice, long night. The weather was picture perfect and all over town beautiful roses are blooming and cherries are ripening.
A beauty at the team house yard....
It has been a very nice day for all of us though I have been jet lagging much of the time.  Tomorrow we will eat at 7am and drive for 2 hours to a shelter for 40-50 children.  News about that tomorrow.

Thanks for prayers.

I'm catching up this afternoon on all your blogs you've posted. You always do such a great job of journaling, with beautiful photos depicting your day. Yes, it surely looked like a delightful Sunday weather day.

I'm sure you all must be really-really tired, so hopefully you'll get a great night's rest & be ready to start the week afresh!

Praying for you all.
Love, Marge
