From Lyon to Grenoble, France...

Back to the playground after getting packed up in our room and having breakfast...
Started the day in Lyon, France.

Not such a long drive today so we had a relaxing morning.  Good breakfast then off to the playground while others started to load the van.

Left Lyon about noon with a tired little boy in the car.

He slept all the way and stayed asleep as we arrived and loaded out.  I stayed in the van with him until he woke up about 2:15pm.
Sharing space with new friends...

Time to stop at an open market and secretively purchase the little wooden train you see here...

Everyone enjoyed the market before we drove away a little before noon...
Took an hour to drive to Grenoble.  The closer we got, the more we noticed mountains showing up outside our windows.  Hopefully some photos eventually.
The Venue welcomed the group with this spread!!!  We're in France, that's for certain!!!
Backstage family playground...

Cozzie loves anything with wheels so spied a cart that helps move heavy equipment and started pushing it around.  Pretty soon his parents joined the fun to give him rides down a sloping corridor.

Cozzie and I were at the venue for awhile today and that gave him more time with his family.

Just outside our hotel doorway is this view...
But we headed to our hotel so he could have a second nap and he woke up at 7pm.  The concert tonight was scheduled to start a little after 7 so we headed back to the venue on foot - only about half a mile.  We had a long enough attention span to stand in the back with Papa through maybe 2 songs.  The concert was earlier in the evening because it was Sunday - apparently people are able to attend earlier because no one goes to work on Sunday as all businesses are closed.  Anyway, we were in the concert hall for a bit and then had some snacks in the dressing room.  That room happened to be quite close to the stage entrance door so we could hear Mama sing.  He recognizes her music and wiggles and grooves to her songs.  We were still there when she came out before doing an encore.  She hugged us and went back out on stage.  By then it was nearly 9pm and I figured it was time to get my little guy back to the hotel.  We could have stayed for dinner after the concert but I thought Cozzie would need lots of attention during that event which wouldn't make it very enjoyable for many adults.  He had been enjoying hummus, bread and strawberries so I think he was about full.
View at a street corner on our way to the venue from the hotel...
Quick shot at the merch table to give proof that we were at one of the concerts on this tour.
Tonight was the final concert of the France portion of this tour.  Brian will leave tomorrow morning and return to NYC where he lives.  Shara will teach a Master's class tomorrow morning with about 50 students in Grenoble who are studying English and have been using some of her song lyrics.  They will ask her questions and work on their English skills more than song writing skills.

When things are wrapped up in Grenoble, four of us will drive to Nice, France.  There we will locate our hotel which will be "home" for at least the next 8 days for Cozzie and me.  MBD will go to Istanbul for a concert on the 6th.  Upon their return, there will be several more concerts in Switzerland before we all return to the USA.

I'm certain Cozzie and I will continue to have more adventures - discover more playgrounds and see more sites.  As time and internet service allow, I will continue to update my blog.

Cherishing my time and travel...
