Surrounded by Prayer and Well Wishes...

Following a busy day of more meeting, planning and packing, I am exhausted but so grateful for many kind words sent to us in response to a short email sent as a mass mailing yesterday.  

I intersperse comments from those notes with highlight photos from a few past trips to Moldova.

Some of the many children gathered in the Gazebo for singing and sharing to begin...

With caring thoughts like these that follow, we know we have faithful family and friends who will pray as we spend these days in Moldova.

Girls from China who were university student volunteers at the same camp and who welcomed the Bible I left with them..

"We will include you in our prayer list.  May you have safe travels, and a blessed and profitable time with the Moldovans."

 "I praise The Lord for your faithfulness and commitment to relationship with the people of Moldova!  May God bless you with his Favor in every aspect of your journey."

 

"Linda and John,  Thank you.  You two are amazing - so faithful, can do, make it happen, faith in the Lord, leadership skills, doing it with joy and hope.  You touch our lifes and so many others.  Prayers indeed."

Village woman who responded to the Pastors invitation to "repent" and he allowed me the privilege of leading her in her first prayer.

"Have an amazing time and Bill and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers."

"Good to hear from you! I know this week will pass at warp speed as you tend to all the last minute details that team efforts present. Have a wonderful time being the hands and feet of Jesus."

For most small groups, the great outdoors is the classroom.

Weather.com predicts a beautiful week...

 "So glad to be among the many lifting you UP … now as you prepare and throughout your stay.  The FACT that He goes before you and with you and around you and through you matters so much when we need to trust Him to make Himself known!!  You are … and He will!!!  BLESS YOU!!!!!!"

Hopefully I'll be able to meet with the camp staff most of whom are professional educators.

Before the final note, I share the disappointing news that one of the gals from our church in Kerrville has cancelled due to health problems.  She has joined our team most years since 2005 so the children will really miss her.   

I close this note with a friend's prayer:

"Lord, please,  “Go before them and level the mountains” (Isa 45:2)  for they go in your name.  May you be glorified in their efforts.  And may others respond, knowing Your hand is upon them.     Amen."

Surrounded by this cloud of witnesses, I continue to be humbly grateful for this rapidly approaching opportunity.
